THE six Zambian nationals and five Egyptians allegedly involved in the gold scandal yesterday appeared before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court on an Espionage charge. Meanwhile, the court is today expected to rule on whether or not it has jurisdiction to accept the Director of Public Prosecution’s certificate in which he is urging the court to deny the accused bail pending trial. The six Zambians include; Lusaka businessmen Shadrick Kasanda, Jim Belemu, accountant Oswald Diangamo, commercial pilot Patrick Kawanu, state security officer Francis Mateyo and police officer Robison Moonga.
