MINISTRY of Agriculture Permanent Secretary Green Mbozi says some districts are lagging behind in terms of collecting fertiliser because of mobile network challenges. In an interview, Saturday, Mbozi said in some rural districts, mobile network was intermittent and this slowed down the process of collecting inputs. He, however, said government had performed better than in the previous season because collection of inputs had reached 58 per cent. “There could be some districts where farmers are lagging, especially where the network [is bad] because the system we use is electronic based.
