EDUCATION Minister Douglas Syakalima says government has actualised the pronouncement that 4,500 teachers would be recruited in 2023. Addressing the media, Thursday, Syakalima said 7,222 names would be published today, of which 2,722 are coming in as replacements for those who resigned or went on secondment. “I am happy to confirm that government actualised the presidential pronouncement that 4,500 teachers would be recruited in 2023 through the Ministry of Finance and National Planning allocating K1,994,817,600 in the 2023 national budget.
