THE Botswanan and Zambian governments have approved a bilateral agreement on the establishment of the Kazungula Bridge Authority (KBA). In a Joint Communique issued at the conclusion of the Joint Ministerial Committee of the Kazungula Bridge project that was held in Gaborone, the two countries agreed that Botswana would host the KBA, of which land had been allocated for offices and housing, whilst the Executive Director of the KBA would always be a Zambian national. “During the course of the discussions the Joint Ministerial Committee: (i) Considered and approved the Bilateral Agreement on the establishment of the Kazungula Bridge Authority (KBA) for further processing in their respective countries in readiness for signing by 24th March 2024; (ii) Reiterated their resolve...
