FAMILIES are Nations president Judith Mwila says divorce cases have increased because couples don’t undergo counselling before tying the knot. On Friday, President Hakainde Hichilema urged families, the church, traditional leaders and community organisations to enhance marriage counselling and teachings, saying it was unacceptable that divorce cases had continued to rise. In an interview, Saturday, Mwila said there was need for stakeholders to work together and ensure that a couple is not allowed to marry without proof of counselling. “We do provide counselling to families, as Families are Nations that is our focus. Before marriage we provide premarital counselling. We also provide post marital counselling. We provide parenting workshops. We provide conflict resolution, reconciliation and so on and so forth....
