THREE church mother bodies have condemned the recent actions of the Zambia police to issue a call out to Catholic Priest Fr Chewe Mukosa, describing it as an anomaly. The church mother bodies say the church’s role in advocating for justice, righteousness, and the well-being of society must be respected and protected at all times. In a joint press statement, the three church mother bodies; Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ), Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) and Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops (ZCCB) stated that the situation undermined transparency, accountability and the rule of law, which were crucial for a functioning and democratic society.
