A POLICE officer based at Sikanze Police Camp in Lusaka has appeared in the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court and denied sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl. Samson Chilembo, 38, is charged with one count of defilement of a child. It is alleged that Chilembo, on May 12, 2024, in Lusaka, had carnal knowledge of JK, a girl under the age of 16. When the matter came up yesterday, Chief Resident Magistrate Davies Chibwili allocated it to Lusaka Resident Magistrate Kawama Mwamfuli, who then proceeded to read the charge to Chilembo.
