TRANSPARENCY International Zambia (TI-Z) says while it commends the ACC for confirming that some ministers are being investigated, it totally disagrees with the commission’s decision not to name them. TI-Z Executive Director Maurice Nyambe has urged President Hakainde Hichilema to suspend all ministers currently being investigated by the ACC. And former TI-Z chapter president Sampa Kalungu has argued that the Anti-Corruption Commission cannot fight corruption in secrecy. On Thursday, ACC Deputy Director General Monica Chipanta-Mwansa said the Commission was currently investigating some ministers and government officials for alleged corrupt practices.
