THE Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) has seized a property with two double-storey flats belonging to former First Lady Esther Lungu in Lusaka’s Ibex Hill area. But Esther’s lawyer, Charles Changano, has questioned the procedure used by DEC to seize the property after recording a warn and caution statement. The former first lady appeared before the commission for questioning around 09:10 hours yesterday, accompanied by her husband, Edgar Lungu, and Changano. Only a few armed police officers were seen manning the commission’s premises for nearly two hours before the couple was allowed to leave.
