THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has convicted a 40-year-old SDA Master Guide of indecent assault and has committed him to the High Court for mitigation and sentencing. Lusaka Magistrate Kawama Mwamfuli has, however, acquitted Collins Chikwangala of the charge of defilement of a child. It was alleged that between April 1 and 30, 2023, in Lusaka, Chikwangala had unlawful carnal knowledge of a child under the age of 16. When the matter came up for judgement, Tuesday, Magistrate Mwamfuli said she found it to be a fact that the victim was indeed a child, as she was 12 years old.
