FORMER president Edgar Lungu’s economic advisor Hibeene Mwiinga has told the Economic and Financial Crimes Court that contrary to the state’s assertions that his Mwembeshi farm is valued at K12.4 million, he spent US$200,000 to develop it. Mwiinga has also told the court that as Lungu’s economic advisor, he went on several trips and was receiving allowances. He further says he had money before becoming Lungu’s economic advisor, as his farm was fully operational by 2011, not 2015 as alleged by the State.
