PF faction president Miles Sampa has told the Lusaka High Court that he is the duly elected substantive party president following the extraordinary conference held on October 24, 2023. Sampa has also told the court that former president Edgar Lungu created a vacancy when he resigned from his position as party president. Meanwhile, Sampa argues that the courts have already guided that PF leadership issues should be resolved internally within the party, not in the courts of law.
