GOVERNMENT has destroyed 3,288 25kg bags of mealie meal and 10 metric tonnes of dog food containing high levels of aflatoxin. Government has further disclosed that National Milling also tested positive for Aflatoxin, both in its breakfast and roller mealie meal, while H.M Milling tested positive only for its roller meal, bringing the total number of questionable brands to 10. On Thursday, government revealed that Pembe, Africa Milling, Star Milling, Farm Feed-Super Dog Meal, Shabco Milling, Continental Milling, Girad Milling and Busu Milling were found to have elevated levels of aflatoxins.
