HEALTH Minister Dr Elijah Muchima says the National Health Insurance Management Authority (NHIMA) is completely overrun by demand. And Muchima says the new dawn government inherited expired drugs worth about K65 million from the previous administration. Speaking when he visited the Choma ZAMMSA hub, Wednesday, Dr Muchima said government was pondering ways of broadening NHIMA’s coverage. “I was paying a courtesy call for the minister of the province and I summoned the MP Cornelius Mweetwa. You deserve a phase one hospital and we’re giving you that hospital. This population is too big. You can’t have 269,000 of a population with one ambulance.
