THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has convicted City Drive Rent a Car Limited and sentenced the company to a fine of K400 for each of the four counts of failing to pay statutory contributions to the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA). In default, the company’s directors face three months imprisonment. Magistrate Twiza Chiyumbe also ordered the car hire company to pay an outstanding liability of K2,491,946.90, which includes unpaid contributions and penalties, within 11 months.
