THE Department of Immigration in Kasempa has detained 38 suspected illegal immigrants for engaging in illegal mining activities. Immigration Department Public Relations Officer Namati Nshinka said the suspects, comprising 33 Tanzanians, four individuals claiming to be Zambians and one Congolese, were apprehended in Kasempa during a two-day joint operation with the police. “The Department of Immigration in Kasempa has detained thirty-eight (38) suspected illegal immigrants for engaging in business without permits.
