CONSTITUTIONAL Court president Professor Margret Munalula has appeared before the Judicial Complaints Committee (JCC) as a witness in the matter involving three suspended Judges. Her predecessor, Justice Hildah Chibomba also appeared before the JCC yesterday. The JCC is hearing and determining a complaint by Moses Kalonde of gross misconduct by three suspended judges, whom he asserts are not qualified to hold office. The three Constitutional Court Judges who include Justices Anne Sitali, Mugeni Mulenga and Palan Mulonda were on September 23, 2024, suspended by President Hakainde Hichilema. Justices Professor Munalula and Chibomba appeared before the JCC after they were subpoenaed by the Committee to testify.
