THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court yesterday heard how seven Mukula containers seized by the state were claimed by Petauke Independent MP Emmanuel Jay Banda. Misheck Yengwe, 42, a ZNS Military Policeman, testified that Banda identified the containers as his in June 2021 after the court ordered the state to hand them over to the owners. This is in a matter where ACK General Dealers proprietor Ackson Tembo is facing one count of theft Contrary to Section 272 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
