TRANSPARENCY International Zambia (TI-Z) has urged Zesco to interrogate the resignation of one of its board members, Dr Jolly Kamwanga, arguing his concerns are serious and worth looking into. Dr Kamwanga resigned on Wednesday, citing a lack of transparency and respect for due process in the board’s governance practices. In a resignation letter addressed to the Industrial Development Corporation CEO, Dr Kamwanga accused Zesco Board Chairperson Vickson Ncube of exhibiting a morbid fear of imaginary competitors, an alarming casual approach, opaqueness and limited consultation in decision-making, among other issues.
