UKA member Saboi Imboela says the alliance will withdraw Mumbi Phiri’s appointment letter to make it clear that she’s no longer their deputy secretary general. On Friday, Phiri said she would only leave that position once the alliance withdrew her letter of appointment. But commenting on this in an interview, Monday, Imboela said UKA would withdraw her appointment letter because they didn’t want confusion. “It’s automatic that we don’t believe in duality; once you are in another alliance, automatically you’re not a member of UKA.
