ORLANDO Pride has sent a message of solidarity to Copper Queens skipper Barbra Banda following the online abuse she has received since she was named the BBC’s 2024 Player of the Year on Tuesday. Banda, who has had a brilliant 2024 for club and country, was named the player of the year by the BBC, beating Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmati of Spain and Barcelona, Naomi Girma of the United States, who plays for the San Diego Wave among others.
