GOVERNANCE activist Isaac Mwanza has asked the Constitutional Court to issue an interim conservatory order restraining the National Assembly and the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) from conducting the Petauke by-elections. He has cited a report in News Diggers in which the ECZ Chief Electoral Officer confirmed that the Speaker of the National Assembly had on November 27, 2024, formally notified the commission of a vacancy in the Petauke Central constituency.
