THE Socialist Party has backed calls by former president Edgar Lungu for the opposition to unite in order to defeat UPND in the remaining by-elections. On Saturday, Lungu said the Kawambwa by-election was an eye opener for the opposition to consider uniting in contesting future polls like the upcoming Petauke by-elections. He said the Kawambwa polls had also enlightened the opposition on the tactics which UPND was using to win at all costs.
