FORMER Chifunabuli PF MP Ponde Mecha has asked President Hakainde Hichilema to pardon Emerine Kabanshi on compassionate and health grounds, saying it’s sad that she continues suffering in silence despite having a stroke. Mecha has wondered why there hasn’t been any advocacy for the former community development minister’s release as has been the case for her male counterparts Nickson Chilangwa and Ronald Chitotela, who were only recently convicted by the courts.
