UPND Alliance Chairperson Charles Milupi says Catholic Priest Fr Chalwe Chonde chose to clarify his sermon out of his own will because of the anxiety it instilled in the minds of people. Milupi however, says the clergy must be mindful of making pronouncements that may be seen as criticising one political persuasion against the other. In his homily on December 28, 2024, Fr Chonde preached that King Herod, who was a dictator, did not want to be replaced by anyone because he wanted to rule forever.
