BANK of Zambia Governor Dr Denny Kalyalya has warned people who like keeping money under the mattress that it will cease to be legal tender after the withdrawal period to allow for new notes. Dr Kalyalya has disclosed that law enforcement agencies will take keen interest in people that will be depositing large sums of money during the withdrawal period, asking them why they were keeping the money.
