THE Tonse Alliance has reopened the matter concerning former president Edgar Lungu’s eligibility to participate in future elections before the Constitutional Court. The Alliance argues that the Constitutional Court’s decision to declare Lungu ineligible before he could even lodge his nomination papers contravenes Article 52(4) of the Constitution, which stipulates that such a determination must be done after a person files their nomination papers.
