THE Department of Immigration has apprehended over 50 illegal immigrants countrywide. In a statement, Wednesday, Immigration Chief Public Relations Officer Namati Nshinka said the suspected illegal immigrants were apprehended during separate operations across the country. “The Department of Immigration has continued to record significant enforcement successes following a series of operations and investigations conducted between 25th and 26th August, 2025, across the country. On 25th August, 2025, acting on a tip-off from a concerned member of the public regarding suspected illegal immigrants at the exit side of Kazungula One Stop Border Post, a team of Immigration Officers intercepted four foreign nationals. These included two Ugandans, Muhamad Sekajja [aged] 37 and Katende Abdul Hakeem aged 28, and two Ethiopians, Tirulo Legese...
