THE International Monetary Fund (IMF) has predicted a GDP growth of 5.8 percent for the country in its latest World Economic Outlook. The IMF projects that the country’s GDP will grow by 5.8 percent in 2025 and move to 6.4 percent in 2026. And in a statement, Friday, the Fund classified Zambia as among the low-income, heavily indebted economies of Sub-Saharan Africa but noted ongoing macroeconomic consolidation under its reform programme.
