ZAMBIA and Malawi have signed an agreement for the export of 200,000 metric tonnes of maize valued at $77 million. The signing of the agreement took place in Lilongwe, Malawi, and follows a recent telephone conversation between President Hakainde Hichilema and Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, President of Malawi, who had requested that Zambia reserve 200,000 metric tonnes of maize for his country.
