THE World Justice Project (WJP) has ranked Zambia’s rule of law 103 out of 143 countries worldwide in its 2025 Index. Regionally, Zambia ranks 14th out of 34 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, according to the report. The report has also noted that Zambia is among the over 70 percent of countries experiencing a shrinking of civic freedoms like freedom of expression and assembly.
