THE Zambia Correctional Service (ZCS) has dismissed social media claims alleging that Munir Zulu was poisoned through an apple while in police custody. In a statement, Wednesday, ZCS Head of Public Relations Superintendent Cornelius Mwanza said no poisoning incident occurred at the facility, adding that Zulu merely choked on an apple his family brought him. “The Zambia Correctional Service categorically dismisses as false and misleading the social media claims alleging that inmate Munir Zulu was poisoned through an apple while in custody. No such incident has occurred, and routine welfare and medical checks show no signs of poisoning or harm.
