POLICE in Kalomo District have detained a 34-year-old man for allegedly defiling a nine-year-old girl who had gone to collect wild fruits in the bush. In a statement, Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Moono Namalongo said the incident occurred on November 22, 2025. “On November 23, 2025, at 11:20 hours, Macha Police Post received a report of defilement from a 27-year-old female resident of Simunza Village, Kalomo District.
