ZESCO United Head Coach Mathews Ndhlovu has attributed his team 1-0 loss to Zamalek to missed chances. Speaking in his post-match interview, Ndhlovu noted that the loss was because the team was not lethal in front of goal despite having created several opportunities. He noted that the team responded well to the setback of conceding. “The game was quite tactical. We were playing at a high level, especially in the group stages. Zamalek put us under pressure early on, and we prepared not to concede an early goal. The boys did their best, but we lost concentration towards the end of the first half and Zamalek took their chance. In the second half, we responded well but missed several opportunities....
