THE Zambia Tennis Association is intensifying preparations for its 12-member junior team ahead of the International Tennis Federation Southern Africa Junior Championships in Gaborone, Botswana, from January 9th to 17th. The tournament will feature top regional talent and acts as a qualifier for the prestigious Junior Billie Jean King Cup. In a key final preparation, the team undertook a comprehensive anti-doping education session led by Dr Shula Chanda, Chairperson of the National Olympic Committee of Zambia’s (NOCZ) Clean Sport Commission. The session covered clean sport principles, athletes’ rights and responsibilities, prohibited substances, and a detailed walkthrough of the doping control process to prepare athletes for potential tests.
