A 44-YEAR-OLD woman of Kamphemba Ward in Chama North Constituency has turned a K52,000 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) loan into a diversified agriculture business. Theresa N’guni has invested the funds into poultry farming, rabbit breeding and large-scale crop production. She has further challenged married women to abandon the culture of total dependency on their husbands, stating that gone are the days when women used to stay at home doing nothing. Demonstrating remarkable financial discipline and entrepreneurial skills, N’guni has repaid K45,330 of the initial loan, with a balance of K7,330 remaining.
