A SUSPECTED prohibited immigrant has been shot dead by the police after opening fire on officers during a routine stop at Kafue Security Checkpoint. In a joint statement issued by the Zambia Police and Immigration Department, Police Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi stated that the incident happened at approximately 08:30 hours where the Immigration intercepted the suspect after presenting a suspected fraudulent ID.
