THE European Union Election Observer Mission (EU EOM) says it assessed as ‘bad’ or ‘very bad’ the transparency of the results tabulation in 12 percent of totalling centres observed after ECZ suspended vote counting on August 14. Meanwhile, the EU EOM says results tabulation was assessed as ‘very good’ in 43 percent of the EOM’s observations before the suspension of vote counting and announcements countrywide. In a statement, Wednesday, the EU EOM stated that after ECZ suspended vote counting, the transparency of the results tabulation was assessed as ‘very good’ in only 27 percent of totalling centres observed. “Polling station results tabulation took place in 226 totalling centres at constituency level and is still ongoing in some remaining totalling centres....
