THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has set November 5, 2026, as date for the Lumezi North and Mandevu parliamentary elections. ECZ Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro says the Commission will also hold elections for the Mbala mayoral seat and 11 wards in Luapula, Muchinga, North Western, Western, and Southern provinces. On August 18, 2026, ECZ received an official report indicating that unknown individuals attacked the Mandevu Constituency totalling centre, destroyed result transmission kits and fled with documentation and election material.
