Two Spectra Oil directors have asked the Lusaka Magistrates Court to allow them a chance to engage lawyers before they can take plea on charges of contravening an order to cease operations and implementing a project without an approval letter.
Spectra Oil Finance director Maximillan Hamukale and his operations counterpart Hyden Banda yesterday told magistrate Greenwell Malumani that they needed to engage lawyers before proceeding with the matter.
Magistrate Malumani allowed them to do so and they are set to take plea on Monday.
ZEMA arrested the duo on Thursday for breaching environmental laws.
