Zambian striker Patson Daka on Sunday scored twice for his Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg to deny opponents Lask Linz a vital win in week six of that country’s Bundesliga.
Salzburg were trailing by two goals just after 18 minutes but the Austrian champions pulled one back in the 32nd minutes before they equalised in the dying moments of the match.
Fellow countryman Enock Mwepu assisted Daka with the first goal when he slotted in a beautiful pass and his compatriot did not disappoint.
Daka has now scored six goals in seven appearances for his club this season.
Meanwhile, Daka told the media in a post match interview that he wasn’t happy with the draw despite scoring twice.
He said he was glad with his performance but that he would have loved to see his team emerge victorious.
“My performance was very good, but we aren’t satisfied with the draw today. Given the circumstances, we have to live with the point today. The first half from us just wasn’t good enough to take more from Linz,” said Daka.
