ECONOMIST Trevor Hambayi says it’s an unhealthy economic strategy to give incentives to foreign entities while Zambians are being heavily taxed. The Zambia Revenue Authority recently announced that partnered with 33 councils across the country to register all landlords for tax purposes. “The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has partnered with thirty-three (33) councils countrywide to register all landlords. through this partnership, a total of 10,008 landlords have so far been registered for tax purposes, all landlords in receipt of rental income who are not yet registered are encouraged to do so immediately to avoid penalties.
