THE Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) says it has now prosecuted five companies on the Copperbelt on Value Added Tax (VAT) fraud charges. And the Authority says it’s currently prosecuting Changesheng Mining Equipment Company Limited and its Director Wang Qi on VAT fraud charges after their actions caused a loss of revenue to the government in taxes amounting to K2.5 million. In a statement, Thursday, ZRA Acting Corporate Communications Manager Oliver Nzala said Changesheng Mining Equipment Company allegedly provided Tax Invoices to the Authority purporting to show that it had purchased taxable goods from other companies on the Copperbelt which was false.
