THE Auditor General’s Report on the accounts for the financial year ended 31st December 2021 has revealed that five safari operators in the Kafue National Park operated for over five years without a concession agreement. The report indicated that this was due to the failure to renew concession agreements by the Department of National Parks and Wildlife, which is under the Ministry of Tourism. “The Department of National Parks and Wildlife under the Ministry of Tourism and Arts has one revenue stream which is hunting and park fees.
