THE Energy Regulation Board (ERB) says it has considered Zesco’s application to revise connection fees and it is now in consultation with government on the same. And Energy Minister Peter Kapala says once approved, the new connection fees may be effected on January 1, 2023. Earlier this year, ERB invited comments from the public on Zesco’s application to revise upward connection and tariff fees. The proposed connection fees for customers in high-density, demarcated and reticulated areas are K769 to K4,600 for 1 phase overhead and K1,430 to K15,300 for 3 phase overhead.
