GOVERNMENT says it has completed the distribution of inputs under the FISP programme for the 2022/23 farming season. Agriculture Minister Mtolo Phiri has insisted that the country has enough maize stocks, hence there is no need for high mealie meal prices or panic buying. At a media briefing, Wednesday, Phiri said as at January 26, 2023, his ministry had distributed 99.88 percent of inputs, saying the remaining percentage was on the part of reconciliations. “As at the 26th, 25th of January, I am happy to let you know that the programme had delivered fertilizer that is D compound and Urea.
