MINISTRY of Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary for Administration Maambo Hamaundu has clarified that no new mandatory levy has been introduced for business owners. Recently, some members of the public have expressed concern that government has without any awareness but through the Lusaka City Council introduced a new mandatory levy on small and medium businesses called the health permit pegged at K1,500.
