KAMFINSA PF member of parliament Christopher Kang’ombe has accused the government of not being sincere about what it intends to do with Konkola Copper Mines. In an interview, Friday, Kang’ombe expressed worry that on one hand, the government was engaging Vedanta, but also looking for other investors for the mine. “The issue of Mopani and KCM has nothing to do with Zambians not having the capacity to run those mines. There are qualified engineers – people that can run those mines but the issue is that government has been reluctant to put money into those mines, especially for KCM because the matter has been in court.
