Defence Minister Ambrose Lufuma says the Zambia National Service plans to make presentation of an NRC a prerequisite of buying mealie meal in Kasumbalesa in order to control smuggling. In an interview, Wednesday, Lufuma said it was difficult to control maize and mealie meal smuggling. “The Zambia National Service plan to do that [not to sell mealie meal until citizens produce NRCs] but they have not executed the plan yet.
