Special Assistant to the President for Projects, Implementation and Monitoring Dr Lawrence Mwananyanda has written to IDC Non-Executive Directors Arthur Ndlovu and Nitesh Patel, informing them that President Hakainde Hichilema has dismissed them from their positions. Dr Mwananyanda, however, said President Hichilema had since appointed Ndlovu as ZSIC General Insurance Ltd Board Chairman and Patel as Board Chairman for ZSIC Life PLC. This is contained in separate letters dated March 24, 2023 written by Dr Mwananyanda. But governance activist Brebnar Changala says President Hichilema’s decision to allow Dr Mwananyanda to write the dismissal letters does not inspire confidence in the management of national affairs.
